Seebruecke Sellin, Sellin

(4.2/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
A relaxing seaside walk by day and a dazzling sight by night, Seebruecke Sellin is a lengthy pier jutting straight out in to the Baltic Sea. At night the pier is illuminated, so it can be easily spotted and photographed from the top of a nearby cliff. Originally built in 1906, the pier once stretched more than 500 m (1,640 ft) and included a small restaurant. After a fire damaged much of the structure in 1920, a new pier was built, along with a concert/dance hall. After many years of neglect and weather damage, the pier was reconstructed in the 1990s. Currently measuring 394 m (1,300 ft), this is the longest pier on the island. Drop by for a meal at the site's large restaurant, offering both indoor and outdoor seaside seating. • Among other things, we had a fish soup which was served in a small glass. She tasted good, but I imagine a fish soup with "Fruits of the sea" with more deposits than 3 small chunks of fish and a half tomato. What a pity...

  • We were many times in Sellin. The pier is our favorite restaurant. Again rebuilt in the old architectural style at the end of the 90s the pier combines old cosiness with modern comforts. Two restaurant rooms differently designed, Palm-filled gardens and Imperial Hall, invite in their own way to stay for coffee drinking as well as for tasty, freshly prepared lunch and dinner.

  • Top views, very good service, very good food. Although slightly more expensive, but in the absolute value for money tip. Like to come back.
