Garden Castle
Schwetzingen Castle (Schloss), built in its current form in the first half of the 18th century, was once the summer residence of Electors Palatine Karl III Philip and Charles Theodore. Take a guided tour of the palace to get a sense of court life in the 1700s. Wander through the ornate rooms and admire the period furniture. Step outside to explore the spacious grounds. In addition to its variety of plant species, the garden is home to more than 100 sculptures and several interesting buildings, including the temple of Apollo, a bathhouse, aviary, and mosque. Relax with a glass of wine at the onsite restaurant. Our Schwetzingen vacation generator makes visiting Schwetzingen Castle (Schloss) and other Schwetzingen attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • Gardens are beautiful and well kept. You can easily spend a whole day there if there where some food options. They charge something like 10 € to get into the garden and if you want to see the museum the price go higher. Lines to get the tickets will take you a while, at least 30 minutes if it is a sunny day

  • Very nice, romantic place, we where at the art-market in front of the castle building and at the little tiny xmas market before the castle entrance.
