  • Hi, a not very skilful staging, because no Museum leadership was offered, but only opening of the premises and a somewhat flat (primitive) magic show. Next time please with the Castle Cafe and not snack bar at the main entrance.

  • The museum mostly displays Dutch Golden age art. In fact it has a surfeit of Dutch art on the walls. Not all of the works are of the highest calibre. For every Ruisadel, Claez, Hals, etc. there are a ...  more »
  • Museum is recommended due to Marcel Duchamp collection (even very much) Dutch and Flemish paintings, also (for us Dutch) many, unknown to us moderate painter. the objects by Günther Uecker were surprising in the exhibition! Very worth the trouble

  • I was there for the first time in April and enjoyed the exhibits. But went back last month to check out the additional new building and I was extremely disappointed. Nothing was new. Basically the same exhibits were more spread out in the old and new space. Plus, before the new building, the entrance fee was 4€ and now it is 8,5€ per person. Absolute waste of money for the second time.
  • Good collection and friendly staff. The permanent collection is worth seeing. (4 stars) Edit: After going back once the new wing opened, I left extremely disappointed. It's a useless addition to the museum. Almost all of the art that is in the new wing was originally in the permanent collection and has just been moved over to fill up space. I will not be going back to the new wing.
  • An excellent collection, nicely presented with an interesting reflexion of the political periods and influences under which it was assembled.
  • Their staff are so friendly. Their collection are also worth to see
  • Mostly paintings and a few statues.
