  • Especially the old masters have impressed us. The small Barlach exhibition should have something more in detail.

  • The paintings on display are not very exciting Dutch old masters. However this museum is a must see because of the wonderful collection of Barlach sculptures. In one room are more of his work than you...  more »
  • We were disappointed to visit this Museum after our tour of the Castle. Dark and not very interesting. The museum should be in the Netherlands. a lot of Dutch art.  more »

  • Beautiful building and great collection!
  • I was there for the first time in April and enjoyed the exhibits. But went back last month to check out the additional new building and I was extremely disappointed. Nothing was new. Basically the same exhibits were more spread out in the old and new space. Plus, before the new building, the entrance fee was 4€ and now it is 8,5€ per person. Absolute waste of money for the second time.
  • Good collection and friendly staff. The permanent collection is worth seeing. (4 stars) Edit: After going back once the new wing opened, I left extremely disappointed. It's a useless addition to the museum. Almost all of the art that is in the new wing was originally in the permanent collection and has just been moved over to fill up space. I will not be going back to the new wing.
  • An excellent collection, nicely presented with an interesting reflexion of the political periods and influences under which it was assembled.
  • Their staff are so friendly. Their collection are also worth to see
