  • This powerful Cistercian Monastery is located away from the hustle and bustle in the jagst Valley. The massive Church of the monastery and the nearby Bildungshaus Diöziöse Rottenburg is worth a visit. Especially the staircase. Other buildings can be discovered during a tour, the gardens of the monastery are recommended. An exquisite Cafe invites you to visit. There's wonderful cakes and gateaux to buy. A souvenir shop is also available. Toilets are available.

  • Goods in the monastery for a meeting. However, it is worth to make a trip like this beautifully situated monastery. There are also guided tours are offered. On the premises there is a Café and opposite an Inn. There are beautiful hiking trails in the surrounding area. An impressive church also belongs to the monastery. For the monastery, it takes little time. Incorporate therefore best in a tour of the surrounding area.

  • Schöntal Abbey is a Cistercian Abbey in this very unusual baroque style. All in all a very well maintained facility, for which I necessarily time should be. At its best the Baroque staircase and the verses of the Abbot Knittel as Knittel verses are known for me!

  • Great location and building. Staff could be more polite and the food is "okish" - you come here for the spirit and environment and live with the rest ;)
  • We were on the road a few days with the car in Hohenlohe and main. In the leichet of sleepy jagst Valley, we stopped at this truly beautiful valley at Schöntal monastery and were completely surprised by the dimensions of this monastery, in particular. the Baroque building, the monastery church with its distinctive twin towers the monastery received an imposing new building in the Baroque style. Only seen one sees the real treasures in Schöntal. Surprise: The famous Knight Götz von Berlichingen is buried at the monastery here. You should however to book a guided tour and do NOT arrive on Mondays, because there very nice Café is closed and nothing else here is going on.

  • "I take a cup of coffee and a nice coin wreath" – "you mean a piece of beautiful valley wreath!"... The cakes, pies and pastries are not only extremely tasty, but the operation is also always good mood and surprises with understated humor! -We come back!
