  • A journey in the Saxon Switzerland is always an experience. His visit the bastion, Fortress Königstein, walks through the Woods, climb mountains or a trip on the Elbe with the steamer. Every season has something to offer the Saxon Switzerland. We are gladly there and can recommend anyone to visit them.

  • You need a car to get here. We came with local friends. In the winter it is not crowded. Everything was open and accessible. The bastil built over 100years ago is a fun hike/walk on a well maintained ...  more »
  • Saxon Switzerland National Park is a national park of Germany, took the large territory (93 square miles), is a place with a unique mountain landscape (a variety of sandstone cliffs of whimsical forms), is located near Dresden, and if possible, definitely need to come (there is a possibility to get and from the Czech Republic, in particular from Prague). If it is not possible to spend several days in the area, it is necessary to clearly define the route to watch. Perhaps the most interesting place in the Park is the Bastei, where we stopped for the second time. Impressions weight left, perhaps one of the most interesting natural attractions, who happened to see. In the park there are organized excellent car parking, places where you can eat. For tourists special landscaped pedestrian routes (over 400 miles), cycling paths, there are numerous belvederes. For mountaineering ascents also has all the conditions and such people come to these mountains. Keep an eye on the weather, fogs are frequent in these places and do not forget about the shoes and comfortable clothes, all same elevation changes quite tangible and physical natruzka will be great. This place is sure to be remembered, here you can visit more than once.

  • Very accessible and well preserved nature paradise (national park) close to the Czech border (on both sides, actually) with small mountain formations up to 500 meters and extremely well organised pathway system as well as routes for all types of outdoor lovers, from simple hikers to dedicated climbers of all ages. To put on a lifetime bucket-list.
  • Mountains. Trees. Waterfalls. Boulders. Quaint towns. An old trolley. Bring your family. Be happy.
  • Amazing terrain, nothing to steep. Beautiful views everywhere and pubs at the end of many trails. Even while raining it was gorgeous, you can imagine some parts being deep underwater millions of years ago.
  • Amazing trails, of different difficulties (ranging from easy to very hard) and views that can't be missed. Really enjoyed the "malerweg", and the rustic cafes/ice-cream stops you find off the trail.
  • Great National Park for full day hikes. You can easily travel there by train. Don't miss it when you're in Saxony!
