  • A visit to an impressive but not only garden lovers for all rose lovers. Alone the number of Roses is impressive.

  • Admitted - for many years I thought that "Europe rose garden" was the marketing show of a zealous rose breeder who wants to lure unsuspecting customers in the province with a lofty name. Until I then (intended as a little treat for the over 80 years father) times visited and learned, that's a) was founded by the Association of German friends of roses and 1903 made accessible to the public, b) houses more than 8500 species of roses / approx. 60,000 rose bushes and c) is regarded as the world's largest rose collection. The hilly, more medium with 15 ha rose garden I like there best, where he offers small refuges and places to stay, as well as small discoveries in addition to the ubiquitous Roses (E.g. sculptures). Around the crowded (especially in the season) and at best mittelprächtigen restaurants and along the main pedestrian arteries can be ever full. It clouds the enjoyment. But it fits to the noble name donors – you are no yes also not to have spines.

  • In the more than 1000-year-old mountain and Rose City Sangerhausen, the largest collection of roses in the world has its place. Here are more than 8,500 different rose varieties to see a living museum for nature - and rose lovers. in 1993, the Rosarium was awarded the title of "Europa-Rosarium" and Sangerhausen was officially ertnannt to the "city of roses". In any case, a visit which is worth!

  • Class set! I found beautiful. But small print for very long queues to what to drink to buy. What most the hot day was inevitable. Not enough staff.

  • Schön. In Forst (Lausitz), it is "Only" a "Eastern German rose garden". It's homely there, loving. Continuous irrigation seemed somewhat badly over lunch in the middle of summer. Surly employees.

  • Great experience for a weekend. Beautiful fragrant garden and cosy little corners to the relax. The variety of Roses is just overwhelmingly beautiful. Visiting the lens don't forget the macro ;-)

  • The rating of two stars refers to the visit in the month of August. I was aware that the actual rose flower is over in August, but by a world's largest rose collection I promised but more me a lot. In my eyes, the Park looked unkempt and Loveless. The sparse shrubs and blooming roses were not circumcised. Partly also the beds were sparsely planted or not be seen as subject, such as, for example, the alpinum. The issued off-plan is very confusing and is not supported with signs or place signs. Proud admission price of €10 per person and € 1 for a dog, I really was expecting more.
