  • Strolling in the cool of the day. But the Zoo is large enough, from the cold, some animals were hiding in the houses. The good thing is that you can visit warm up look at reptiles, monkeys and a separate Museum with the skulls of various animals. A family of penguins, which impressed the allocated enough outdoors area and pond, a large aquarium for sea lions. Exotic monkeys, which never saw and many tropical residents which Russian zoos do not. In the whole territory, it is possible to walk 3 hours! Giraffes are beautiful, predators, but the Russian bear no, only pandas))

  • Great Zoo. Currently in the renovation and reconstruction phase. Relatively inconspicuous from the outside, but quite large area. Many animals. Too bad that the Petting paddock was the lining out. Won a very nice trip.

  • The Zoo in Saarbrücken is a local zoo. He can not keep up certainly with "High-tech Zoo" like Hanover or Gelsenkirchen, but you can see the difference clearly in the ticket price. The cages are very clean and also sufficient in most cases. Fortunately, the Aardvark soon receives a new enclosure and the zebras and antelopes may have something bigger, but otherwise everything is alright. It seems the animals to go well here. The Zoo has a clear size and is good to create also with small children. At the entrance there is a stroller. There is a playground and a jungle gym close to the Meerkat. Pretty in dier middle is a gastronomic range that offers small dishes at fair prices (cappuccino €2,20, goulash soup for € 3.50). You can eat only in the outdoor area, but there is a microwave oven for packed lunch and baby food. Dogs are allowed and there's water bowls everywhere. It is very funny, as different as the cats respond: the small wild cats with blatant disgust with the dog, the Jaguar with a certain interest in prey because our dog has a size that would fit in his prey schema. Toilets are clean and adequately distributed in the whole zoo. You can visit, if one is in Saarbrücken, this zoo quite once all in all.
