  • A wine Museum, one more? In reality, this museum is very original. Located in a medieval fortress, the collection is very original and brings together containers (glasses, bottles, jars, etc.) in connection with the history of the wine of ancient Egypt to the present day. Museum to do!

  • I can join the feedback of the visitors only in parts. Of course, this is a very great Museum where you can learn a lot. Also the location - in particular the way up to the Tower - worth completely. I find it inappropriate at a price of EUR 10 per person the manner of presentation of the information however. The impression has been considerably better museums and exhibitions, often at a slightly higher price (or identical or lower). What bothers in detail? We had no audio guide, but the printed Guide. This consists of stitched together the transparencies, whose Inhalte had also seen better times. The texts - Funnily enough only to German and Chinese, no English - are partly very informative and exciting, sometimes disjointed sentences. I know that moisture in walls is a challenge, that the color flaked however on almost all walls and the lighting concept in large parts it renounced, certain corners or exhibits auzuleuchten, has not improved the impression. The fact that the display cases largely quite Loveless with separation from the wall, partly little cleaned rather unloving together provided were, the impression has not improved. In addition bothered me that the contents of the exhibition were although some impressive surprising and entertaining informative. The depth of information - not just wine, but also sparkling wine, sparkling wine or brandy were highlighted both in the production as well as their origin, development and above all the drinking and storage vessels - has impressed. However total thread or a line was missing, especially at the beginning time in information boards (and not printed in times new Roman signs) explains. Overall, the feeling that the money is used for other purposes than the restoration and modernisation of the Castle, but also the exhibits and the representation (ordinary showcases & signs / steles, if necessary Yes multimedia) remains unfortunately especially when compared to other museums.
