Niederwald Monument (Niederwalddenkmal), located in the landscaped park of the same name, commemorates the founding of the German Empire after the end of the Franco-Prussian War. Wilhelm I laid the monument's first stone on Sept. 16, 1871, and the complete structure measures 38 m (125 ft) tall. The monument depicts the ruler as well as army commanders and soldiers.   • Nice historic place Parking space and snack bars Beautiful view around the Rhine river and the nahe river 
  • The beautiful up here are just the views, you raise the vineyards with views of the river and when you join and are above most enjoy 180 degree views
