  • The Frankenhausen is a remarkable natural stone cave with a really informative guide. Beginning may 2017, you can experience the cave even daily at 17:30 with a light show. Unfortunately we didn't know that before, but the posters look promising. Certainly very nice!

  • You can enter the cave only in the context of a visit, each hour. In the cave itself, there are 9 ° C with high humidity, which is steadily down beats on the rocks, even the ground, permanently. Appropriate clothing and shoes are so worthwhile. The Group at our leadership consisted of a total of 5 visitors and an employee. A guided tour takes in average around 50 minutes. Slightly longer with us because the employee took much time for our questions. It was a very enjoyable visit with lots of interesting information for us.

  • If you were in a cave or in kungur cave in new Athos. is unlikely to be interested in this cave. This is solely my opinion and so are all the same: underground lakes, caves, stones of different shapes and even "TRON the Barbarossa" If your cave experience is small, it will be very interesting))

  • Somewhat disappointment. Not much to see, basically a long cave with uneven surfaces. No stalagmites or stalactites. Almost like walking in an abandoned railway tunnel. See the photos on their homepage and you have seen it all. For those interested in caves, I recommend the Eisriesenwelt in Austria. it's a real experience compared to this.
  • The Frankenhausen is an absolute must if you are to visit in Thuringia, Germany. It's to an anhydrite Cave of which all over the world very few there. Caves are found throughout, has seen one it knows all. But this is something very special. The guide takes about 1 hour and is very instructive and entertaining.

  • It is a very beautiful cave through which one enters with a guided tour. The explanations are understandable and justified for the price of € 7.50 per person. The trip was definitely worth.

  • History of this place is very interesting. There are much more beautiful caves. Like for example. The fairy grottoes.

  • A very great cave with a leadership that inspires enthusiasm. Seen here is unique and impressive. €7,50 intake or €7,00 with sanatorium card are worth every penny. Should you schedule in any case, if you're in the area!
