  • The knowledgeable guide very vividly conveys the origin and history of the cave. A special experience is the absolute darkness (only seconds).

  • Who is in the Kyffhäuser, should necessarily this wonder of nature look at. What not really exciting sounds at first glance, turns out to in the Guide as a minor miracle... not only for geologists worth seeing. Note: warm clothing is essential, because more than 9 degrees not be inside. Sturdy shoes are recommended. These should be easily to clean, because of the way into the cave is slightly mushy...

  • We have visited the Frankenhausen in November. Goods to 1 guide of the day at 10:00 here to guest. Very interesting cave. Leadership was very interesting and informative. That was very nice the Group of leadership consisted of only 5 people.

  • Somewhat disappointment. Not much to see, basically a long cave with uneven surfaces. No stalagmites or stalactites. Almost like walking in an abandoned railway tunnel. See the photos on their homepage and you have seen it all. For those interested in caves, I recommend the Eisriesenwelt in Austria. it's a real experience compared to this.
  • The Frankenhausen is an absolute must if you are to visit in Thuringia, Germany. It's to an anhydrite Cave of which all over the world very few there. Caves are found throughout, has seen one it knows all. But this is something very special. The guide takes about 1 hour and is very instructive and entertaining.

  • It is a very beautiful cave through which one enters with a guided tour. The explanations are understandable and justified for the price of € 7.50 per person. The trip was definitely worth.

  • History of this place is very interesting. There are much more beautiful caves. Like for example. The fairy grottoes.

  • A very great cave with a leadership that inspires enthusiasm. Seen here is unique and impressive. €7,50 intake or €7,00 with sanatorium card are worth every penny. Should you schedule in any case, if you're in the area!
