Sankt Marien Kirche, Rostock

(200+ reviews on the web)
Church Tourist Spot
Although thousands of visitors come to admire Sankt Marien Kirche, the attraction is known mainly as a community gathering place. Locals come to worship beneath the arches and elaborately detailed altar. Visitors often join them, then continue their visit among the artworks on display in the chapel. The organs are the pride of the cathedral and are often used as part of the concerts that take place regularly from May to October. You can arrange private concerts and demonstrations by contacting the attraction before your tour; click on the "musik" (music) tab on its website. Before bringing your visit to a close, pop by Café Marientreff, which is housed in one of the former chapels. • Wow! To big roof!
  • Beautiful church, walk up the stairs to have great view over Rostock.
  • Nice place
  • Compared to the rather modest to other national and international churches equipped. The three euro for the view from the tower were's value. A lift is set up for children and people with mobility problems.
