Burg Ronneburg, Ronneburg

(4.3/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Built mostly in the 16th century, Burg Ronneburg has a kitchen fire that's always burning during visiting hours, so you can feel the heat that a cook once slaved over. Another functioning piece of the castle is the treadmill that pulls water from the 96 m (315 ft) well inside the walls. The museum is a series of rooms dotted with furniture designed to mimic the 16th-century originals. Some of these are still painted with murals from the period. • We have celebrated on December 16 on the Ronneburg with 30 persons in the fireplace room. previously we took part in the Castle guided designed very informative and interesting. However, it was very cold and was thus somewhat long winded people wanted into the warm. In the restaurant, the Organization of the buffet was very good. Only the service for drinks was somewhat sluggish. The food was super good, there was no criticism. We will in any case out there again and also celebrate!
