  • The idyllic market square of Rhens with its ox fountain and the great old houses is really - here one breathes history literally! Go and see - worth it!

  • Just another day of along the Rhine drive, without plan, with only a map, from our hotel in the always beautiful Koblenz. Already in the first village we stop, because we see a sign saying ' Köninigsstuhl '. A fun first historical fact for today. There I made a separate assessment of, because it is indeed worth the effort just to watch! Rhens itself is one of those beautiful Rhine villages without further ' great ' stuff, but which is always nice to have by walking. I can always continue to enjoy that wonderful German half-timbered building, and there is a lot of to see and admire. With the market square. And as the Centre the Ochsenbrunnen. The local source was always in every city a center point, in the absence of Facebook and gossip-tv ..... Here was talk, laughed, mourned-and also the farmers as their cattle sometimes came here to drink. I see it before me, and that's why I keep it also always shooting. Despite all my searching, I cannot find that this sculptor bronze statue group made it! And then of course also on the Rhine shore watching all those signs indicate that the floods of the past. Still, but stop at that small towns!

  • On the mark at the Town Hall are picturesque half-timbered houses from the 17th century. Here great on a terrace and enjoyed all this beauty. On the corner is the oxen source.
