Arp Museum, Remagen
(4.5/5 based on 55+ reviews on the web)
Discover the work of Jean (Hans) Arp, a founding member of the Dada movement, at Arp Museum, a museum housed inside a historic railway station that's just a short drive from the city. This 19th-century building, a classic example of early German railway architecture, long served as a cultural venue for artists from around Europe. Brahms, Schumann, and Liszt gave concerts inside, while G.B. Shaw staged several of his plays here. Long neglected after World War II, the building was listed for demolition before Johannes Wasmuth, a prominent art deal, brought it back to life in the 1960s. Take a guided tour to learn more about the museum's permanent exhibits of Arp's works, as well as the temporary displays of other notable artists from around the globe. Work out when and for how long to visit Arp Museum and other Remagen attractions using our handy Remagen tour planner.

  • A lot money from the sale of indulgences Bonn-Berlin was built here. We know that good... but not quarrel about the location and the design can be art: the station, as well as the previously owned lawn hoffenlich long protected as part of the Museum.

  • The educational offerings are particularly good. If I get out of the Museum, I see the world through different eyes. In the summer, we ate very nicely on the balcony.
