Old Stone Bridge, Regensburg
(3.8/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
The fact that the 12th-century Old Stone Bridge is still standing is a tribute to medieval engineering. The bridge above the Danube links the old town with Stadtamhof. Its Bruckmandl statue was erected in the middle of the 16th century. He is said to symbolize the city's freedoms and its emancipation from the control of the Bishop. Be sure to take some photos here on what is arguably the emblem of Regensburg. • Wow, if you're a fan of Ken Follett's books (World Without End and Pillars of the Earth) on medieval life, you will love this bridge. It only took 11 years to build and enabled merchants easy access i...  more »
  • This was great way to see the highlights of the city, and the bridge. You can hear the tour in several languages with headphones. It was only E8,00.
  • One of the oldest bridges in Germany. Unfortunately, the renovation seems not very well planned, the original character of the bridge will be lost.

  • Go to the bridge but don't miss the brats, sausages and kraut at the old restaurant. Best in Germany
  • I'm sure it looks amazing on a regular basis but all we had was a bunch of construction killing the view. Even the "little man on the bridge" was gone.
  • Beautiful old bridge over Danube..
  • Nice place to hangout with friends, party street
  • Astonishing view of the Danube River, specially during sunset. Ongoing maintenance until 2017.
