  • Like we go into the old town of Regensburg - even if we live on the outskirts of this great city! Maybe much too rare! The old town hall is just a gem of this unique city! Germany - cradle since the everlasting imperial diet in the old town hall. Here, met the Emperor and the envoys of the German Empire and shaped the fate of Germany - not always, but sometimes "at the green table. Sometimes you pushed something on "the long Bank". All sayings, which were minted here. If in this Hall has married, you can advertise only to learn about this city and its people - and to fall in love!

  • Who knows that this building with the everlasting imperial diet is home to the cradle of German democracy? The history-conscious travellers looking for an absolute must. And opens up the atmosphere of the rooms, the colourful past, and also the importance of the city of regensburg, for Germany only in one of the knowledgeable guides. Very, very impressive. But caution; the photo is wrong and shows the stone bridge and not the Town Hall. Please urgently change!

  • Visit the Imperial Museum of Parliament should not be joined, made several times in one day tour (Führung). In 1 English tours only once a day. Info is old town hall on the first floor, then buy a ticket (€ 7.50 it was). Minute information out of tour departure point, open the left door (went to about 10 steps up the stairs, black heavy doors). Though there were a lot of people outside should be what put our participants is t only three. Ooh! Guide it is otherwise, is majoring in history at the University of Regensburg has had a bad feeling. Started from the description of the Assembly Hall, but still people on this tour are just the people who are very interested in the history of will. Guide children and another one (maybe) coming from the United States who come out questions, gleefully answered, I. That became a tour of the three geeks (except me). ...Ooooh tour dungeons and artillery storage room and came out 60 minutes tour of 90 minutes or more past was! (Having to wait outside the basement Dungeon is put in the Dungeon, but it is possible. Heck, waiting for w) balance of the weighed salt I thought Wow, that long ago. Was fairly accurate as it is. If you are interested in is a little heavy, but spend meaningful time. OOOOOOH!

  • Nice. But very difficult to take good photo because space in front of building is small.
  • interesting place for history buff
  • A guided tour of a Town Hall (even with important cultural and historical importance) evokes mostly a yawn. Quite different here; When our guide knew to tie the entire group with its reports of the Town Hall leaders in may 2014. History to touch and sit down so to speak, because we have been asked to take advantage of (almost) all historical seating and then very informative and entertaining such as above clarified which statuses were allowed to use the respective piece of furniture. So you can make history alive.

  • Placement is Center of the political life of the former imperial city, going back to the middle of the 13th century in the core and expanded until in the 18th century, against the background of the expansion of the administration of the city old town hall. City Regiment, legislation, case-law and Executive in combining most updates, the Town Hall is a medieval and early modern multi functional building. The representative House consists of three parts, the old town hall tower and four-storey Palace of the patrician castle with the Town Hall courtyard, Gothic Imperial Hall growing from the first third of the 14th century with the Stadtschreiberhaus and the Baroque North - East Wing of the 17th/18th century with the Neptune courtyard. From the middle of the 17th century, the accessible through the main portal with guardian figures Imperial Hall wing served as venue of the everlasting Kingdom day. Unique historical and architectural complex of buildings.
