  • You will find practical and well furnished apartments on the Rügen farm in Putgarten. Who loves quiet, you should book a holiday home in the Sheepfold. The Rügen Hof is an ideal base to explore the Cape Arkona and the peninsula of Wittow. Beautiful cycling and hiking trails, and beaches are nearby and also tourist attractions such as the Schinkel Tower or the fishing village of Vitt are good even on foot and quickly accessible. Also staying around the turn of the year is very much recommended.

  • Pretty landscaped yard with all kinds of shops. More is offered here feil amber jewelry, arts and crafts, clothing, soaps, souvenirs and much. This worth a visit, even if you only once by strolling. The wine seller was only somewhat strenuous.

  • I found it very nice and rustic. There's a delicious cake or pea soup. The Rügen IMP is made here and you can watch it.

  • If you visit Putgarten and Cape Arkona, one starts mostly from a parking lot on the South-Western outskirts. The Arkona Bahn runs from here to the lighthouses and the outskirts of Vitt. -But who likes extended to challenging walks, should explore this region on a 7 km-long walk on foot. -First's passes northeast through the village street the historic Firehouse Rügen courtyard with snack bar, restaurant and fish Smokehouse. Follow the village road continues Northeast approximately to the House Nr. 3. Here the school turns left and goes as a dirt track of towards lighthouses. At the end of this path, in the proximity of radio masts, one should make "Seeadler" the left diverging route to the viewpoint from which there is a beautiful view on a clear day. Left next to the Belvedere, a staircase leads to the beach where the "seven cutter" is. The way right on the cliff edge is locked due to risk of cancellation for a long time. Therefore, you must first go the same way to get to the lighthouses. Shortly before the lighthouses you will pass on the fog signal station and the Navy leadership bunker. A climb to the Lighthouse is possible but only when visibility is good. Compared to the towers, the King staircase led to the beach. Unfortunately, these steps because of the danger of demolition is also locked. Front of the staircase, the route passes right now at the Künstlerhaus and the measuring field of the weather station to the Marine Tower. A staircase leading to the beach follows this way reaches now 250 m in a southerly direction until it left over. After 1km further South, you will reach the fishing village Vitt with restaurant, Cafe and fish Smokehouse. Back passing over the Vitterweg the interesting Chapel Vitt after Putgarten. Bottom line: Worth a visit.
