  • We have visited the lighthouses of Cape Arkona, the carriage by the Coachman Rocco. The carriage ride was very amusing, and is therefore highly recommended! After the short stay at the lighthouses at Cape Arkona, we continued along the cliffs (not available with the "narrow-gauge railway") to the fishing village of Vitt. This is a small romantic fishing village and the beach, you have a beautiful view to the cliffs of Cape Arkona. Then it was back to the parking lot. The entire journey by coach lasted approximately 2 hours. The trip was very aufjedenfall worth!

  • The way to the Cape is quite cumbersome. It takes relatively long and it runs again good 20 minutes from the parking lot. In addition, the parking is expensive: you'll pay €4 for the whole day, but more than 2 hours may not stick up there actually. The downs are locked, as the way to the early medieval ring wall. The view is quite nice, but there's sure pre-choice places you can visit on Rügen. Ultimately, this destination is unfortunately not worth all the effort.

  • The nature around the Cape Arkona impressed, even if currently all Beach disposals, the Eastern dune path and part of the coastal path are locked - in many places, the prospect of which prevents a better rating is missing so unfortunately. Please also note that the arrival from the paid car park in the village of Putgarten means walking at least 30 minutes - the walk is fun but. Who would like to enjoy one of the watchtowers and other museums (E.g. the bunker), should previously inform themselves: partly in winter they are completely closed or open only a few hours.
