  • The biosphere in Potsdam inspires me again and again. There is soooo much to see. Whether tropical animals (such as birds, snakes, geckos) or plants (E.g. orchids, coffee -, cocoa - or banana plants) or koi feeding, which held daily to 12 h is. Fragrance and Spice station are something for the nose and the palate. The Butterfly House and the Aqua sphere a pleasing to the eye. There is a tropical camp, where you will find delicious tropical cuisine. In the shop, there are interesting books for all ages. Special tours and workshops are offered for adults, teenagers and children. And (and you can spend the time here really long) flight over the tropical rain forest forms the end of the day. The employees do not just a job, all are passionate about their work and you also feel that. I can only hope that this wonderful landmark is not closed!

  • I was actually for the third time in the biosphere Potsdam - a great concept! - and was increasingly disappointed. The idea of an easily accessible indoor tropical rainforest is seductive, but even though I was still worth visiting (Yes, there's plenty to see!), I saw more and more all the weaknesses of the concept, all the purely issuing, purely instructive, the playful, focusing on attractions for small children (U-boot) - and once again mostly parents and grandparents were accordingly this holiday Thursday with four to six year old children in the Potsdamer rain forest on the way. The for amphibians presented there in terrariums and reptiles remain of course mostly motionless (you know!) – for small viewers a test of patience, only the mice were cute - and must ask the management let there which / r visitor that "Studies" or probably active impressions are to be achieved - the shark-skin models (bionics) range from not. To collect tropical spices for a "spice"letter this time was the only current (rather very adult) activity stimulus, not twice visited the "air ship" with the more economical cinema "Jungle flight", only the tropical butterflies are a real highlight. The 2001 - to my knowledge - built facility is approximately 29 million euros deficit and the management seems to have no vision; the biosphere is managed since my first visit there (2012) apparently only and not active "operated". It's nothing new. While there would be so much – in the sphere like the real rain forest. Too bad actually!

  • We had a 2für1 coupon, so out went to Potsdam and have looked at the biosphere. All in all very exciting! You should avoid the holidays and if possible also the weekend, then it's very full. But it is very interesting and also cozy, you can insert still a little break in the Café after the tour.

  • We arrived at 16:50 and everything was already locked even if the last entry is at 17:30. We started the tour and it was really awesome, it really seemed to be a rainforest, it was really suggestive! The place has some interactive activities to play and I really loved the butterflies' house, one of the most amazing things! Surely worth a visit if you're paying some time in Potsdam!
  • It's an indoor tropical rain forest in Germany. There are birds and butterflies and lots of plants. It's fun to walk around in I think and the restaurants are nice too.
  • This is an amazing botanical garden. The personell is very friendly, the atmosphere is just amazing. Perfect place to spend a week-end. Lots of educational possibilities, they are also open and helpful in case you want to take pictures.
  • It's a nice place to go. The rainforest is really cool and the balloon trip is kind of interesting. The restaurant is amazing.
  • Great place to visit with your kids and explore the rain forest.
