Wildpark Poing, Poing
(4.7/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
The most abundant wildlife park in Germany, founded in 1959, Wildpark Poing covers 57 hectares (140 acres) and replicates the natural environments of native wildlife species. Take the 4 km (2.5 mi) trail through forest and meadow areas, where you can get up and close--and often even pet--deer, sheep, goats, horses, wild boars, wolves, lynx, and many other animals. Be sure to catch the daily Birds of Prey flight demonstration, featuring eagles, hawks, and owls. The playground and picnic area is next to the deer park. • My husband and I came here around 11 am on Sunday, the park was wonderful. There was a good variety of animals and lots of room for them to walk. Entrance was 8.50€ pp and feed is 50 cents per baggie....  more »
  • The Wildlife Park in Poing is a beautiful landscaped Zoo (domestic animals) with large enclosures and plenty of room for the animals. You can leisurely wander without stress through the Park. Many animals can with the food purchased at the entrance (really a huge bag) feed. The admission price was under 10 euros. The beverage - and food prices at the stalls were not expensive in proportion. The air show, that the entrance fee is included with, was really awesome. Very informative. Here you can see the passion of the staff for its wild birds. We can recommend the Park anyway and would get well again here.

  • Always nice for children, lot's of animals to see close up, huge playground. Food and drink could be a bit more professional, but if you take this more as an opportunity for a picknick, it's ok. Just don't expect to be able to buy food there.
  • Excellent open spaces. Wonderful to spend a day in the wild. New additions to the playground are great. Lots of fun.
  • Wonderful place to see animals and spend a day outside.
  • Nice place to go with children but I found some animals like wolves and birds with small spaces
  • Fantastic for family. Gets very busy on weekends and holidays.
