Wildpark Poing, Poing

(4.7/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
The most abundant wildlife park in Germany, founded in 1959, Wildpark Poing covers 57 hectares (140 acres) and replicates the natural environments of native wildlife species. Take the 4 km (2.5 mi) trail through forest and meadow areas, where you can get up and close--and often even pet--deer, sheep, goats, horses, wild boars, wolves, lynx, and many other animals. Be sure to catch the daily Birds of Prey flight demonstration, featuring eagles, hawks, and owls. The playground and picnic area is next to the deer park. • I liked it. There are a lot of animals in freedom, eating from hands or just walking near people. Additionally there is the park for children with hydro mechanisms and excavators.  more »
  • A beautiful park! Not only for or with children. When the weather is quite full, but due to the size of the Park divided but quite good. Out of many animals, there is also still a great adventure playground and a birds of prey show. The whole thing is designed as a tour. At the half, you can find a beer garden. Also many tables and benches, where you can eat outside food and drinks. We have every time a great day.

  • The Wildlife Park in Poing has surprised us in terms of its size and diversity of animals. You can spend a lot of time in the Park. The paths are well run, well to observe the animals, there's enough activity for children, a snack can be taken on rustic wooden benches outdoors and you can feed even free-range animals. The stay made us very happy.

  • Always nice for children, lot's of animals to see close up, huge playground. Food and drink could be a bit more professional, but if you take this more as an opportunity for a picknick, it's ok. Just don't expect to be able to buy food there.
  • Excellent open spaces. Wonderful to spend a day in the wild. New additions to the playground are great. Lots of fun.
  • Wonderful place to see animals and spend a day outside.
  • Nice place to go with children but I found some animals like wolves and birds with small spaces
  • Fantastic for family. Gets very busy on weekends and holidays.
