Jagdschloss Granitz, Ostseebad Binz
Categories: Castles, Tourist Spots
Once a popular holiday destination for European nobility, Jagdschloss Granitz was commissioned by the Prince of Putbus and built between 1838 and 1846. The castle remained in the hands of the Putbus family until the 1940s, when the Nazis seized it. The structure now functions as a museum operated by the state. Walk through the many rooms to learn about the history of the castle and to see the collection of old hunting rifles and furnishings from the 19th century. Head up the cantilevered cast-iron staircase of the main tower for sprawling views in all directions. Thomas HauschildCastle and tower are well worth a visit. From the tower you have a splendid view. The snack right it has probably no longer need next to the Castle. An hour before closing time of the Castle not even a small sausages. Only there of no sausages said demand turned out to be that the kitchen appliances all fell victim to washing dishes. The food on the Granitzhaus was not much better. I know other staff. Very taciturn. Bockwurst Yes - outside on the grill. AHA, I'd still like a Bockwurst. Yes, outside on the grill. At least friendly that can be told, constantly I felt, to ask for apologies. The grilled Bockwurst was also cold. Maybe all snack owners had only one common bad day.show original
