  • Well-situated Museum offering great insights into the development of our civilization. Highly recommended for children!

  • The visit of the forging of the children, was very nice. The children and the companion have been launched well and it has been much fun everyone. Because there were four anvils and two food available there was only a short wait. Also another visit to the Museum was very interesting. The explanations to the (wood) Plättchenwebens were class.

  • This open-air museum is perfectly built, very well sign-posted and interesting not only for children/schools. Visitors will find a very well presented chronological "building exhibition" of the settlements of the region, metalworking, in gardening, livestock etc. Everything very clearly.

  • We wanted to make us also some clever holiday and therefore we had the idea to visit the Museum. First... we thinking first and foremost of our daughter, can't help but notice but very quickly on the ground that much can be learned about even as an adult. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, the facility itself is just awesome and the highlight for our daughter was still forging. Make the tours with fund provision, leather bags, games and reading have been great fun. All in all we will be safe once again visit, when we are in the area and we can recommend everyone to admire this fabulous Park!

  • My favorite Museum! Archaeology to the touch and actions to auto assemble for school groups and private individuals. So anyone who wants to spend an unforgettable birthday, just call! Using a modular system can be a wide range of actions related to the stone age, which put together the bronze age, iron age and the early middle ages. Just great! The annual program is super varied and designed by various groups and employees, who all have one thing in common: you're heart with joy! Be sure to recommend you!

  • Very interesting, child-friendly Museum. Friendly and helpful staff. The terrain is very beautifully designed with an eye for details. I also highly recommend the Museum bag. Just for kids, it's exciting to be able to try out different things with the bag.

  • We had a very interesting journey from the Paleolithic and Neolithic of the bronze age to the early iron age in the open-air Museum of Oerlinghausen. The Museum staff were very friendly and could provide information to all questions competently. Besides the buildings of different eras is it also herb gardens, live to see pigs and goats. One feels transported back really in time. It was not our first and very definitely not our last visit there. Conclusion: Very worthwhile, interesting and instructive. A great open-air museum with friendly, knowledgeable staff!
