  • We live nearby and have regularly visited the fairytale forest complete with catering over the years. About the plant itself, it is to say that although many things are old. Anyway you can see sometimes that the fairytale forest is brought after technically back to front man. There is yet but one thing or another that is broken. For the children, the excursion in the fairy tale forest but still a trip is worth. Also the rides slightly in the years prior to the fairy tale forest, have also greatly appreciated our two children (4 and 2 years old) are beautiful. Gastronomy was always the weak point of the fairy tale forest. You had to adjust on Sunday has always been especially to long waiting times and I've seen it more than once, that guests have left waiting period without ordering the restaurant after 1 h. We have shown us but always tolerant because at that time every hour taking water games and the high-quality waffles. Now there's a new tenant since last year in the restaurant. Unfortunately everything has suffered since the change. The quality of the wafers has declined, probably the dough is now ready shopped. Get the drinks not fully served, partially missing coasters, spoons, or biscuits with coffee. The wait times are longer than ever. The owner is not present and the overextended temporary workers unable to cope with the crowds. A systematic procedure is not visible. The water games take place in the afternoon also no longer hourly but only allegedly twice. The last time we were there, Additionally the technique of water games was broken so that water to the disappointment of our children then no longer took place. People spoke to me to warn me of long waiting times. Had the last time when we were about two-thirds had left the restaurant without ordering. It is really sad to see, to see suffer the quality of gastronomy. We are really tolerant guests and take much in purchasing, but unfortunately we must discourage from the gastronomy.

  • We maintain with 2 guys and Grandma and Grandpa since early September and maintain very enteuscht from the system. All very old partially out of order. You should pay for something not at all entry must be. Only thing I enjoyed fresh air and fountains.

  • "Forever", there's the fairy tale forest. I know him from my childhood and it has not significantly changed. Therefore, the scenes and figures are not so fashionable and "soft-washed". Hold, like fairy tales in the 70s came over. I find worth a trip for young and old. Those who expect a mixture of Phantasialand and Disneyworld, is enttäuscht...und which is a good thing

  • I loved this place as a child and love it still. I don't live in Germany any more, so don't go often, but took my kids at the end of August and we had a great time. They even have a little playground now, something that my 4-year-old (whose mother tongue is English and who doesn't understand everything in Germany yet) really enjoyed. The waffles with cherries and cream in the restaurant are almost a must. I will definitely return again and again.
  • Very good to take the kids or visit as a grown up! The stories come alive for a little bit and memories too. The sound is in German, but it's nice to hear the story telling. In the end, the restaurant has wonderful cherry waffles!
  • Ok
  • Cool😉
  • A must for all parents with children. Very beautiful and lovingly illustrated fairy tale depictions with speaking and moving figures. The fairytale forest blends beautifully into the bergische land and is ideal for young children. Of course, there is a restoration. Not so nice is that you have to pay for parking and the water level. The entrance fee is €3 for children from 3 to 14 years, adults pay €4.50. The Park is in the summer months from 10 h to 19 h, and during the winter months on weekends and Fridays from 10-16:30 open. Caution! The gastronomy is closed on Tuesdays.
