The biggest window I need to write about here probably nothing. Searches in the Cathedral on the stone floor time for the carved skeleton. Absolutely worth seeing whether that kl is also the environment around the Cathedral. Chapel, herb garden, fairy forest, newly designed youth hostel or the Brook running of the Dhünn. Many hikes on signs on the parking lot at the fairytale forest are offered or as a flyer in the AltenbergerDom store. All TOP, with children, with dogs, with nice people.
The draw was the cathedral, but the atmosphere of the site was alluring. The religious building is a monument of achievement for the craftsmen and masons of eras gone by. It is unique in its non-denom... more »

The wonderful architecture, (almost) free of religious jewelry, very impressed. The old Windows in their diversity, they only noticed on closer inspection are wonderful. A visit of the Cathedral it is worth several times.
Very nice setting with lots of old trees and a small river close by. The "Dom" cannot be official considered a cathedral, but it is a place full of history, connected with another place worth visiting, the Schloss Burg. Maybe it lacks some services around the Dom.
Hans van Rhyn
Very interesting complex, but still under reconstruction and payment is required for entry
Bell HouseThe Cathedral is located in the Bergisches Land. He has a great look inside and outside, and thanks to its good acoustics it is suitable for concerts, which also often take place.
Karl-Erich JägerThe "Bergische DOM" in a lovely landscape. Medieval architecture immersed in the Valley of the Dhünn. The Cistercian monks settled here in 1133 to monks. Biggest attractions of the Cathedral: the Sun-gilded West window and the KLAIS organ. With over 6500 pipes and 89 tabs, it belongs to the most impressive instrument of its kind in the country. The summer organ concerts are recommended (end of June until the beginning of September every Thursday 20: 00) with world class performers.
Jennifer HornA very beautiful Cathedral, it is worth to look at this time as well as the environment.
