  • In this village there are many places worth visiting, but if you hold for more than two hours, be sure to stop here. In this museum you clearly explain why here are engaged in nearly all wooden humans, and why all the noteworthy houses are painted as prints Please note, prices on souvenirs here are lower than in Munich, while the Café opposite in addition and gostepriimnee;)

  • Existing since the year 1910 in instead of a small chapel (the current entrance) and a wooden toys factory, the Oberammergau Museum is highly representative of the local culture and the know-how of the craftsmen of wood, but also in the history of the passion of Christ, celebrated every ten years. In addition to a collection of old cribs and traditional objects, theme exhibitions are regularly organized (one to two times per year). The admission ticket also allows to visit the House of (Pontius) Pilate (Pilatus Haus) which are presented other works by local craftsmen, in addition to original paintings on glass. Visits recommended especially, and to be completed by that of the theatre of the Passion.

  • Neat little village, but mainly just for tourism. Looks a little bit fake.
  • Nice to see reflects the tradition and the art of woodworking
