4.7/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web
This Rococo church, consecrated in 1749, was designed by well-regarded German architect Joseph Schmuzer. Admire the grandeur of the interior and its ample use of marble and gold. Murals depicting The Lord's Prayer and Ave Maria, the two central prayers in Catholicism, are particularly striking. Look for the representations of St. Peter and St. Paul (the church patrons) in the nave, parapets, and the high altar. It's worth taking a short walk through the well-maintained cemetery, which has many interesting headstones. • Having been to Europe many times and multiple cities in Germany this church by far took my breath away. The pictures will show for themselves just why I hope you enjoy them and visit.
  • Village must see with all its painted houses and its frescoes. Beautiful typical Church of Bavaria with an outside paying not mine but a very rich interior. We had the chance to see the evening, with a religious office giving even more greatness. Worth the trip
