  • A unique monument, with information supplied with remote control that keeps the visitor, but also with touch screens, which include and explain many of his works, the effects that it had, etc.

  • Durer's House is well preserved and shows beautifully presented, precise, and faithful reconstructions (mostly ancient copies) allows an excellent presentation by the artist. in just over an hour it becomes acquainted with one of the most important European artists. Not to be missed

  • Durer owned and lived in this house. However, with the exception of the kitchen, little is left from the time that he was there. The building serves mainly as a site for his art (reproductions) and th...  more »

  • I was looking forward to this. There is a lot of craft demonstration and for how little they know about Durer it was actually really informative.
  • A beautiful home-museum dedicated to the German master, you can enjoy the lifestyle of the Dürer family. The visit includes an audio guide that tells the story of the house. A small negative note was the rudeness of the cashier who among other things spoke only German.
  • I could well live there, it is still comfy and warm. Good experience.
  • Nice experience, especially with 'agnes' explaining the life of durer.
  • They could be better!!!And with more painting of durer-Haus!!!!

Where to stay in Nuremberg

The Altstadt and the Egidienviertel districts, the city's historical sections, provide an array of guesthouses and hotels. An alternative is the Gostenhof area, a suburban region with a selection of tourist sites. If you stay in Gostenhof, however, you need to take public transportation to the city center. For local flair, consider staying in the Knoblauchsland district near the Hauptmarkt. Avoid the Südstadt district near the train station, which is mainly residential and doesn't offer many entertainment options or access to sites.
