Nuerburgring, a motorsports complex near the village of Nürburg, was nicknamed The Green Hell by racer Jackie Stewart because of its difficulty and peculiarities. Its 20.8 km (12.9 mi) long north loop changes elevation by more than 300 m (1,000 ft). Ask about the opportunity to drive your own car on the legendary Nordschleife, or consider renting a fast car onsite so you can hug the curves. For events, the complex can hold 150,000 spectators. For several years I go here with friends, and we always entertain us fine. Good atmosphere, nice cars and you may even if you will itself around the track (at your own risk).
The most dangerous race track in the world but great to drive and spectate. Don't drive too fast before you've learn the circuit, but that can take some time and there's plenty of corners to catch you out and total your car. Steeped in history, lots of places around to eat and drink and beautiful countryside. Check the track is open to the public before planning a trip as it is often closed for private sessions.
One of my favourite places. Nice country and a world famous race track. What's not to love?
I started racing on the Nordschleife in the early nineties. Driving my Lancia Delta Integrale, Audi quattro Treser Tuning, Honda Civic V-Tec or my Honda Fireblade, Suzuki RGV 250 on the Racetrack is a blast. More than 1000 laps so far. The Track is legendary.
Ultimate test of man and machine. Absolutely thrilling. Weather is unpredictable so be prepared for anything. The track is closed to clean up after accidents which have a higher likelihood later in the day. Consequently suggest going as early as possible.
Me and my fiancé had a great time here at the famous race track. Unfortunately the Nordschliefe was closed but fortunately the Formula 1 track was open and my fiancé got luckily got to do the first 15 min round of laps. Sadly there was a crash in the second round so the night was cut short for many of the other drivers.
