  • Something for history lovers and romantics. Many years ago still somewhat unsightly and rather a relic, is today something unique. I'm glad that you can go all around the city, years ago was still not possible.

  • Nördlingen is the only German city that boasts a wall completely intact, with 5 doors, 15 2 towers and ramparts, and entirely on foot as in the time of medieval knights. The walls of Nördlingen are still in perfect condition (is the best preserved walls of Germany) and "draw" an almost perfect circle around the old town. The walls are entirely on foot on a wide path just under one meter, also covered by a roof made of wood and tiles, and then you can do even if it rains. The rampart walk is well worth it for the views it offers: from the top of the walls you can admire the view both outside the city which especially Interior, with beautiful timber-framed houses from sloping roofs, churches and pleasant gardens. The climb to the walls is free. The walk along the walls of Nördlingen, highly recommended, is very pleasant. It takes about an hour to do the whole course (approx. 2.6 km), but we have come a little more than half because of time.
