This was the first castle we visited upon arriving in the Rhine Valley and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very large, intriguing, and picturesque perched on the mountainside but it took a bit of dete...  more »

We saw this castle from the road and just had to see it! It is beautiful. The road to get to the car park is fairly long. From the car park there is a shaded but longish walk to the entrance gate. Whe...  more »

A real small hunting Castle. The journey was possible until about 10 minutes walk. The rest was a slight increase on a wide and blocked road. We were there at the end and so alone. What a great gem. The Castle guard was busy watering the beautiful rose garden. Would have me really not surprised, if short equal to sleeping beauty before would have looked. Wonderfully maintained and a small eye-catcher. Inside it is more as a hunting lodge and the tour is approximately 30 minutes long. Our Boston Terrier was welcome. He was able to walk everywhere only in rooms with parquet floor, we had to carry him. This was however not a problem. Larger dogs can in with, since the room all on one central block with stone floor not narrow but just in the parquet room with it. All in all a romantic eye-catcher.

  • quiet, nice
  • The castle is really impressive and guest to dream while the view is breathtaking. Outside visits alone and vallent really suddenly. On the other hand guided tour of extremely fast inside that I was not left time to enjoy what was there as much as for the small rooms at least, when the entire group is inside there is more way to see what that is. However, it is worth the visit. Dogs are allowed in the gardens.

  • We were at the weekend and are very excited. A true sleeping beauty fairy tale Castle, that is worth a visit. Beautifully landscaped facility and very well-preserved Castle. The alleged noise does not exist from the quarry at the weekend. One of the most beautiful castles on the Rhine. The management was very nice and well done, and on the 5-year-old guest was very nicely made. Thank you for the hospitality.
