  • The paths to the ruins were well sign-posted and also in the ruins there interesting statements on a blackboard. The architecture is interesting, although only the walls and the Tower stand, but the wall openings offer great views.

  • Very nice and well preserved castle ruins. Super views of Neumarkt. A detour in the Buschenschenke with delicious meal is worth.

  • always worth, if you coming climbs the Wolfstein castle ruins of Neumarkt. Always a delicious homemade cake and a good cup of coffee waiting for us at the Buschenschenke. Also in the ruins of the castle we have always a look. If even the weather plays along, there's still a reward to: A panoramic view over the rooftops of Neumarkt on the witness mountains and more. If you have a pair of binoculars, has the vision

  • Good: It has a nice view of the city and very good for photos. It has space to park or you can challenge the mountain and get there by bike! If you can climb the tower it is specially worthy. Bad: There isn't too much information on site. You can see where there were some monitors that I presume had some kind of historical facts but they are not working. It is specially interesting if you can get to climb the tower but the last time I was there there were bees everywhere.
  • Wonderful views! Easily reached. Parking near by. Dog friendly!
  • I spent ten years in Neumarkt,1966 to 1977 and my long haired friends and I would get the key to tower and we would party up there every now and then. It was cool as hell!!!
  • A place to visit at any time. At first light, with the Sun gradually illuminates it, as in the evening when the lights last fall slowly from the walls still standing. The place is beautiful, despite its state of disrepair. There is no closure, is open 12:00 am. Too bad that the few information panels working (funded by the EU) are only in German--was too get them even in English? Shame really, because they seem very well made.
