  • Emil Hansen called himself after his hometown, Nolde, who is now just behind the border on Danish territory. If you like the evocative images of Nolde, usually in very bright colours, then the Museum of Nolde is (nordwestl. Foundation Seebüll Niebüll) worth a visit. The Museum building is built on a mound, circumstances of groups of trees surrounded by a splendid flower garden with a pond, which is always in top condition. The Museum offers frequently changing exhibitions. So again in the summer of 2016. In the entrance building with a café, you can learn a lot about Emil Nolde's long and varied life, his years of travel and the prohibition on the 1st floor in a screening room in the fast pass during the NAZI era.

  • We were now after 30 years for the 2nd time here. Are coming to visit House long driven around then in the no man's land of this crazy Nolde of HUSUM. After 30 years, I has no large memory more to the Museum, and was now fascinated by witty able of this mound have called the nodes "Seebüll" and the great pictures and the details of his life. The restaurant area and the INFO/sales area is totally new and offer a good quality. Unfortunately, we were in November here and unfortunately could not admire the beautiful flowered garden.

  • Excellent, always worth a visit. The Combi ticket with Tønder (DK) is recommended, because this is just a few minutes far away.

  • The visit to this museum has paid off for us, even though it meant 80 km detour on the way from Denmark to go home for us. The ambiance alone was already worth it. In late summer, the garden in all its glory is to admire even if the landscape outside around something bleak. Not everyone perhaps appeal to the paintings of Emil Nolde, but moved his life story and the movie is worth seeing.

  • Display his photos still in the corner? During my time in Southern Jutland (1973 to 1981), I visited Nolde Museum many times and was excited to see it for the first time after the redevelopment. It was a big disappointment to see a museum that had not given the "pictures" something, but had given priority to the commercial and the artistic and cultural historical element at the expense of a respectful exhibition of display his works. Walked around and saw "the usual crowded exhibition of paintings in display his house-reportedly for the sake of display his own ideas. So the unpainted pictures behind the curtains, so the light could not mirrors. What's the deal? Come on in time with a proper exhibition, so one should not enjoy Nolde in Lousianna, but get the pure item there, where it belongs!
