  • German-Danish painter Emil Nolde is excellently presented at his Nolde Stiftung Seebüll. His work, his personal history is at display. Don't miss the excellent film on his life and his historical cont...  more »
  • OWL pins to meet already in the garden outside the display his house. The little OWL can be found in one of the more imaginative display his paintings-Triumph there Weisheit-where two troldeagtige creatures consider the Wise Owl. The OWL is available now in a ceramic version and can be purchased in the Museum shop. As always, the Museum is worth a visit, and even in the garden you will find plenty of colors in the month of October. Only minus is the long walk from the parking lot to the entrance. To the old House, where the collection is displayed, not suitable for bad education, can probably not be surprised the visitors guests. Can you clear a couple of steep and narrow stairs, so you will be richly rewarded!

  • All art lovers among the West Coast tourists should visit this extensive exhibition. In the entrance building you can learn a lot from the life of the artist in an exhibition and a small movie first. Then, you go through a small garden (landscaped by ADA und Emil Nolde) to the Atelier building with the actual art exhibition. The building was completed in 1937 (!) and is reminiscent of the architecture of the Bauhaus.

  • Excellent, always worth a visit. The Combi ticket with Tønder (DK) is recommended, because this is just a few minutes far away.

  • The visit to this museum has paid off for us, even though it meant 80 km detour on the way from Denmark to go home for us. The ambiance alone was already worth it. In late summer, the garden in all its glory is to admire even if the landscape outside around something bleak. Not everyone perhaps appeal to the paintings of Emil Nolde, but moved his life story and the movie is worth seeing.

  • Good and featured exhibition. Very beautiful garden.

  • Display his photos still in the corner? During my time in Southern Jutland (1973 to 1981), I visited Nolde Museum many times and was excited to see it for the first time after the redevelopment. It was a big disappointment to see a museum that had not given the "pictures" something, but had given priority to the commercial and the artistic and cultural historical element at the expense of a respectful exhibition of display his works. Walked around and saw "the usual crowded exhibition of paintings in display his house-reportedly for the sake of display his own ideas. So the unpainted pictures behind the curtains, so the light could not mirrors. What's the deal? Come on in time with a proper exhibition, so one should not enjoy Nolde in Lousianna, but get the pure item there, where it belongs!
