Restaurant und Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm, Munich

4.1
#46 of 468 in Things to do in Munich
One of the finest restaurants in Munich, Restaurant und Biergarten am Chinesischen Turm was a gift to the city from Elector Karl Theodor in the 18th century. The Chinese Tower, inspired by Buddhist temples, makes a paradoxical backdrop to the restaurant's more casual beer garden. The beer garden's tables sprawl out under the tower beneath the trees. Hofbraeuhaus is accompanied by sausages, bratwursts, sauerkraut, and beans. You can make reservations at the fine-dining restaurant inside the building, but at the beer garden, just plop down and order up the local brew. • With 7000 seats, the beer garden at the Chinese Tower is the second largest beer garden of Munich, right after the deer garden. Tourists from all over the world come together here to drink the Munich Hofbräu beer. But also for the Munich, the Chinese Tower is a popular meeting point to enjoy the summer evening when brass music. Like wants it the beer garden tradition, here even brought bread may be eaten. You must buy only the drinks in the tavern. Who wants to try the roast chicken, Steckerlfisch and o' batzdn like, finds this in the self-service area. The restaurant at the Chinese Tower (display) for all those who like to cook for themselves and to operate is also next to the beer garden.
