Constructed in the mid-19th century, the hall features more than 400 rooms. It now houses the city's government administration. Stand in Marienplatz square to admire the intricate detailing and regal decoration of the 100 m (328 ft) long main facade. Then ride the elevator to the top of the spire to enjoy skyline views. • Impressive structure - top tourist attraction in the Marienplatz Altstadt walking zone. Certainly worth a look.  more »
  • When you look at this magnificent structure falls bullying head or pull back on the other end of the square. The first thing that comes to mind is how beautiful building, and the second as in ancient times could create such a miracle. And do not want to believe that Hall and yet 150 years and she is still young, if I may say so about the building. At the Town Hall so many different decors and ornaments that accounts for quite a long time looking at the whimsical gargoyles and kariotidy. And then go through the nearby streets to neck rested and back again and stand pulling up its head to admire the architecture of the new town hall.

  • The town hall is a marvellous building. Its main tower is equipped with a nice carillon which turns while producing music in some moments of the day. Visiting the internal yard and the inside of the building is recommended.
  • The architecture is beautiful. View from the top is wonderful. But my favorite part, my favorite part was watching 500 people wait for the glockenspiel, not knowing that it doesn't work in the winter. It only works at 11am in the winter. Absolutely. Worth it.
  • We can walk inside to see the internal architecture for free. At the level 4, ticket of EUR3 per adult to take the lift up to the top and absolutely worth it. Amazing scenery at the top, just a bit windy and freezing.
  • Beautiful big building - take the elevator up to the tower (studens 1euro!) and enjoy an amazing view
  • Beautiful building. You can go up the tower in elevator for a few bucks for nice views.
