Maximillianstrasse, Munich
(3.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
In the heart of Munich, Maximillianstrasse is one of the city's four royal avenues, planned and begun in 1850 by King Maximilian II of Bavaria. Lined with neo-Gothic buildings influenced by the English Perpendicular style, the street is now Munich's most upscale shopping district. You'll find exclusive boutiques and designer shops, such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Escada, Hugo Boss, and more. One of Munich's most famous five-star hotels, the 19th-century Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, towers above the boulevard. • The street where all the shops are the most luxurious hotels in Munich. All the major brands of clothing are here. Also there are watches stores and jewelers, unapproachable for prices. In the end, however, it is not very elegant in my opinion. Not like via Condotti! ;)

  • "Many great and challenging (expensive) shops almost 'all' high-class" brand... you should ever (from outside or inside) saw... There are also great dining venues away from the Max'strasse...

  • Munich is full of shopping, but this is the quintessential shopping street where you can find all the best brands (Fendi, Chanel, Cartier, etc.). The road is very wide and although it's not a visit not to be missed, if you are in Munich for more than a day, a walk in this way can be very enjoyable!
