Landmark Tourist Spot
In the heart of Munich, Maximillianstrasse is one of the city's four royal avenues, planned and begun in 1850 by King Maximilian II of Bavaria. Lined with neo-Gothic buildings influenced by the English Perpendicular style, the street is now Munich's most upscale shopping district. You'll find exclusive boutiques and designer shops, such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Escada, Hugo Boss, and more. One of Munich's most famous five-star hotels, the 19th-century Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, towers above the boulevard. • This street was born in Opera square and along its somewhat more of 1 km you will find some of the shops and hotels more expensive and luxurious city, several theatres and museums and some other restaurant. Moves it away from Munich City Centre and crosses the Isar River and until you reach the imposing Maximilianeum, home of Parliament and dormitory for minds more highlights from the South of Germany. Although I am not very given to this type of shopping, if you liked to stroll through this area, since it is rather more quiet that the rest of Central Munich, which at certain times of the year can be pretty crowded. Also my girlfriend loved it spend facade facade watching that they offered.

  • The street runs from old town flanked by monumental buildings, the luxury shops and ends in the Grand building of the Bavarian Parliament on the other side of river. Here also the monument to Maximiliano II is located. The area also the Church of Santa Ana is worth a visit.
