  • This featured Castle near the village of Dohna is an excellent photo opportunity for Castle lovers. The very well maintained Park invites you to a walk. I recommend to visit the Castle, since the premises offer a good insight into the history and the rooms are very beautifully designed.

  • The Schloss Weesenstein is a gem. Enchanted, it lies on the Müglitz very near Dresden, the Elbe sandstone mountains and the Ore mountains. It is a magical castle (also for families). In the Castle you get an audio guide with good explanations and a fantastic tour from the Middle Ages until 19th century. Century included. Explored include the private quarters of the King of Saxony, the baroque castle chapel and the medieval castle itself. The garden alone is worth a visit. Beautiful flowers and shrubs can be found in this small but fine garden. But he is not just something for botanists, but also for history lovers, because here you can see the baroque garden structures and for connoisseurs, because you can have here wonderfully relaxing. The whole Castle is there for a ridiculously low price of € 6.00. The food is excellent here.

  • Schloss Weesenstein has been one of the most beautiful and biggest castles on our tour! The entry is justified! It is huge, very much is explained and you can walk through almost the whole Castle! Just great, so I imagine a castle before visiting! From the inside, such as outside a splendor and the Park this! People go and take a look!

  • Wonderful medieval castle with a fascinating history. The winter gardens are especially beautiful. Several cafes and restaurants on site. Plenty of free parking at the bottom and only a short walk up hill to the Castle. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone touring in the area.
  • We didn't actually go all the way inside, but what we saw looked amazing. I'll proudly stop here again when I have more time.
  • very nice castle
