  • We had got with Josephine Hoppe "and every year the Christmas goose greets" coveted tickets to the event and wanted to start off the evening with a leisurely dinner in the Castle kitchen. Of course we had reserved, yes certainly attached. The order itself was already the first problem: "can I now say white I don't, the boss calls back...". Then even called back, middle of the day, and bot's (!) at 14: 00 lunch places, demand but we had dinner from 17: 00. OK, that was quickly resolved. We have been prepared with the good experiences of the previous operator (pepper bag, Freiberg), four time there. In the restaurant, other 8 people were at that time. First surprise: the map had become extremely manageable, touted was horse. But nothing bad, must mean it did but unfortunately. After 10 minutes there was, the message, what is everything 'off', was almost everything except horse drinks after 15 minutes. Saturday, in a remote area where the restaurant benefits from the events of the Castle and supposedly busy was an absolute nonconformity,. Next surprise shortly thereafter, the white Court is still once available only so an order on lamb changed. Afterwards, the host was a necessary test his skills as a bagpipe player and singer of popular Christmas songs. Bagpipe + Christmas songs + voice for singing in a nasal voice changed + wacky talk = unbearable. Also, we have been publicly reprimanded because we have not stopped our conversation. He should prefer to his kitchen strive, as himself is later put out. Also the wide self-praise of his beer could not confirm to the beer. But certainly a matter of taste. Wine lovers had a choice of local wine white and red, without further indication of all that a rogue who here thinks of Tetrapack. After 35 minutes, the soup came: oxtail soup for € 6.50. However, this turned out to be a vegetable stew with meat cooked from and some cartilage. On demand: Yes, that's an oxtail soup. OK, since the opinions differ. After 60 minutes, the main dishes came: wild back (on demand before Roe was announced) with dumplings and red cabbage. Dumplings and red cabbage had certainly been OK, but the wild back had a diameter of under 3 cm, a length of about 10 cm, lay on the pile of red cabbage and was black as night and dry like a sheet of paper. He immediately went back to the first piece. From the ordered rack of Lamb with Fruchtjuc and Savoyard, potatoes were three to five (we had ordered three times the Court, because we did not want the ubiquitous horse) become lamb chop on a dollop of jam, green beans and potato wedges. Pointing to unsererseit that this is not a rack of lamb, which confirmed us. Yes, that's not a rack of lamb, which was then already. By the way were called over €16 for the main dishes, the price-performance ratio is absolutely wrong. Next deposit of the host with bagpipes followed, coupled with the announcement to us "we are still not perfect". We believe they won't in this Millennium, not even close. Our recommendation: Stay stay away from the Palace kitchen! The event with Josephine Hoppe was very good, so like all cultural events in the Castle, we so far have visited the.

  • The Schloss Weesenstein is well worth a visit. However, one should rather avoid the Castle kitchen. We were pleased with friends on an evening with Christine Hoppe, who was also very entertaining and Nice. However, we made the mistake before in the Castle kitchen to eat. We ordered a table for 17:00 so we could attend the event to 19:00. The à la carte menu in the Castle kitchen is very open, which is also not a problem, but the selection of dishes from 17:15 is already restricted then. There's certainly not offered Wickelklöse. The oxtail soup no longer available to us (17:30) was a beef broth with meat and vegetables, and already for the guests, even none of both soups was yet to be ordered. When ordering the wild Court, only a meal for guests pleasure was bad luck for our friend, that this bestellte-because it was hard and dried up and had to be returned. The Apple Spritzer also was not whether it floated on top undefinnierte nodules and tasted fermented. The Tumtum thing players was hard to endure. We will visit the Schloss Weesenstein, especially due to its great events. We will make a bow to the kitchen of the Castle and the castle brewery. The price-performance ratio is simply a disaster. • Wonderful medieval castle with a fascinating history. The winter gardens are especially beautiful. Several cafes and restaurants on site. Plenty of free parking at the bottom and only a short walk up hill to the Castle. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone touring in the area.
  • We didn't actually go all the way inside, but what we saw looked amazing. I'll proudly stop here again when I have more time.
  • very nice castle
  • A very beautiful castle with a great and very well maintained park in beautiful surroundings. Regular events. And marry you can here also ;)
