Wochenmarkt Muenster, Muenster
(4.7/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Take in a true European market experience at Wochenmarkt Muenster, Münster's market. The stalls primarily sell food and flowers, but you can also find crafts and textiles. Work up an appetite browsing baked goods, eggs, seafood, meat, spices, honey, cheeses, pasta, fruits, and candy. Once you're sufficiently hungry, stop for a bite to eat at one of the covered cafe stalls. The pea soup and frankfurter is a particularly popular option. Hit the ATM beforehand, because the majority of stalls only accept cash. • The weekly market is one of the highlights in Münster. For all areas (fish, meat, cheese, bread, vegetables, flowers, etc.), there are very good levels with different orientation (bio, specialties, cheap...), so there is something for everyone. Of particular note, I find the fish stand "Ruben". Because here - especially when the weather - is full, it is worth to come early.

  • Munster's weekly market is perhaps one of the most beautiful in all Germany. The selection and the atmosphere are unique. Almost everywhere there is to look at something and sometimes even to try. It meets on a cup of coffee or the famous Reibeplätzchen.

  • On Wednesday and Saturday in the City Center on the square near the Cathedral market unfolds. Mainly products. Bringing local farmers. Prices about twice more than in stores. And if organic products, the price yet twice more. All fresh and tasty. You can try. There are fish vans. But it's usually Dutch.
