Always abuzz with people, Prinzipalmarkt is in the vibrant center of the city. The main marketplace of the region for centuries, this site was largely destroyed during World War II. Reconstructed in the 1950s, the marketplace is shaped by the surrounding buildings with picturesque pediments attached to one another. Dominated by the historic city hall, the marketplace attracts both locals and tourists with its impressive selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants. You can stop by to take photos of some of the city's main architectural landmarks, spend a few hours window-shopping, or take in a light meal and watch the world go by. • The city of Münster is one of the most beautiful in Germany. And the principal market is its lively Boulevard. This road with the aperitivo Giebellhäusern and arcades as the scene of the Münster-based crime scene is known to an audience of millions. That the principal market was completely destroyed after the 2nd World War and faithfully rebuilt, only very few visitors know. Many from surrounding areas and from the Netherlands come here for shopping and strolling here. On the principal market, everything is there: beautiful and expensive shops, tradition and modernity, art and culture, a varied gastronomy. The Ludgeriekirche and the Town Hall, in the 1648 peace of Westphalia ended the thirty years war, are the historically influential buildings of the market.

  • The Munster Centre is really nice with its covered arcades. The square is part of it. A magnificent and surrounded with beautiful window displays. In the center you see wandering around nice people and students ... in short, everything historical and well maintained.

  • Walking around the Prinzipalmarkt means taking a real sensory experience. This to be in place. Seems to get into a time machine. Wonderful.
