  • After a few years, today the second time there have been. Unchanged! A little refresher would do well. After 10 years. Especially since the one or other object is now gave up his spirit. We have 3 min. 'Official', not little for as a small museum, since one should get when exhibits are broken or in November, the movie theater is flooded with cold air. The assessment includes also the high price – 10 euro for 1 EW + 1 child are excessive for the offered. The many panels are informative but that reads eh about none. Not rated here: the underground guided tour. You should not miss that.

  • Here you can learn very much about volcanoes and the Eifel. We were 3 adults and 3 children and could acquire a family ticket so that it was less expensive. The story of Mendig was projected in a movie theater. We found this interesting and well done, especially the kids were amazed. On the upper floor, then some things were to the try themselves on what is also interesting for children. The hearing stones tell the stories of other volcanoes. You could experience an almost "realistic" live news broadcast about a volcanic eruption in the Eifel region in the 4 d cinema. Very interesting and good information.
