  • Nicely managed old church....carrying so much information of the history of the city. Windows are one of the best attraction...explaining many of the things visually.  more »
  • Very beautiful church dedicated to the Saint Elizabeth. Their bones are no longer in this imposing building. The Windows are a detour blocks.

  • Very nice church and very well preserved. Great atmosphere but the only problem was the organ that kind of stuck out like a sore thumb! Other than that, it was a very nice visit.
  • The church is in Gotic style and it's quite fascinating. I didn't like that I had to pay 2€ to visit the rear side...
  • Very old and well preserved. Nice to visit.
  • Why should I review a church though?
  • Beautiful, characteristic building with great historical background. Skyline Marburger together with some other buildings completely. The Interior is far, Hall-like, very impressive. Front of head, a large, ostentatious altar rises. The huge, exciting AWE church organ, whose powerful sound you should necessarily have heard when visiting Marburg is located above the entrance. In this large Church Hall, a unique acoustic is playing the organ. The many thick, stone columns left and right of the central nave give the building a special dignity. Are characteristic of the Elisabeth Church, from the outside looking in particular the two high bell towers in the front area. Who comes to Marburg, for the so-called "E Church" is a must-see. The parking situation is not easy to the Elisabeth Church rings, so a visit by public transport is advised above you must be ready to run an entire piece walking from the parking lot. The experience of the imposing building, outside and inside, but completely compensates for this small drawback. To the Elisabeth Church around an atmospheric Christmas market takes place every year during advent, which is always worth visiting.
