  • The Museum-ship Mannheim - until 1985 as the side wheel passenger steamer "Mainz" – is part of the Technoseums and lies on the river Neckar below the kurpfalz bridge. The relatively small and clear ship Museum is suitable for children – there to answer things to touch and questions. In addition, the Museum offers an interesting insight into the history of shipping on the Rhine, as well as the development of diving technology. There is an impressive collection of ship models at the front of the ship. Highlight of the visit on advent Sundays is a ride on the Christmas decorated police boat.

  • Nice interactive fun science/technology museum. Would have given 5-star had it been bit more accommodating to non-German crowd.
  • Very interesting! Perfect for interactive physics lessons outside of classroom. The cafe is cheap and the food was ok.
  • Good selection of interactive experiments very quiet on the day we went. All in all good fun.
  • A great museum for tech. Many special exhibitions and a great basic collection of history of tech and science. Refreshments for great prices in the basement. It's almost a adventure trip to drive with the old train 🚂. Definitely worth a visit and spend the whole day.
