Planetarium Mannheim, Mannheim
(3.6/5 based on 60+ reviews on the web)
A "Universarium" with the use of fiber-optic cable designed by Carl Zeiss Jena makes the stars in Planetarium Mannheim performances seem real. The opening hours of the attraction depend on the performance schedule--which means the structure is only opened one hour before the show and a half hour after. Shows take place daily from morning until late afternoon, so plan your visit accordingly. The varying schedule for the performances is on the attraction's website. Take advantage of the extra hour before the show to explore the pyramid-shaped building and check out the exhibits revealing the wonders of space. • Our universe tangibly close, well explained. We have seen it with great interest and are still fascinated. Our Earth in the infinity of the universe? The talk has given us much, and not the last time we were in Mannheim, Germany. Staff friendly and helpful.

  • They have a nice cafe and good food and the planetarium is a spectacular experience the staff was wey helpful and nice
  • A nice Planetarium, though the children, who know the media dome in Kiel, found this impressive. Possibly it was also at the presentation, which was rather far-fetched hair "Alien worlds". There, one had read too much science fiction and fantasy...

  • Good place to go on a date if you are both into sciencey stuff! Student discounts are available as well and the experience is really nice.
  • For the big and the little ones, for me, the Planetarium is always a good alternative to the cinema. Great topics for which one should be naturally receptive. In the comfortable seats can be just fall and lull. Certainly the budgets for such productions are not limited, which is why it is not necessarily too high demands on image and effect quality, but that's why, content counts. To me the staff was always very nice.
