Luisenpark Mannheim, Mannheim

4.7
Luisenpark Mannheim lures in locals and tourists with a greenhouse, gondoletta boats, and facilities for children, as well as plenty of places to relax. You can take a boat ride pulled by an underwater rope, watch a play on the open-air stage, or just sit in the Chinese garden. The park was built between 1892 and 1903 by scientist Dr. Carl William Casimir Fox. It covers 41 hectares (101 acres), representing only part of the extensive green spaces available in Mannheim. • I go once a year to visit the Park. In the spring or in the summer. I find the Park beautiful. There are many activities. Beautiful flowers, many animals + Butterfly + flamingos etc very large playground for children. Dining options, many kiosks. I really like the Park. Especially with children it is recommended great there, and most definitely a point deduction because of price, I find little to expensive if you stay for the whole day because STD is okay, but for the 2-3 I find little to expensive. The price is not so high, I could probably often visit. In the evening, the price is significantly lower, because it's worth more (in my opinion) LG Marina ❤️

  • First off, there is another entrance to the park, if this one happens to be too far. It is near the "Sportpark Unterer Luisenpark" (Google this to find it), and once you're there, you won't miss it. This park is beautiful all times of the year. I've been here once in February (right smack in the coldest time of the year), and August (the hottest time of the year), and both times it was thoroughly enjoyable, and I can't wait to go a third time. It's way too big to explore in just two visits anyway, and luckily entry is cheaper if you're a student. Electric boat rides on the lake that run automatically (though it may look a bit creepy when if they are empty), vast green fields for hanging out and having picnics, restaurants, a butterfly park, large chess boards, a Chinese garden, penguins, pythons and other animals, numerous playgrounds for kids... You name it, they've got it. If it doesn't live up to its (probably self-proclaimed) name of one of Europe's best parks, I don't know what does.
  • Great for kids, probably much better in summer as they have some cool playgrounds with water.
  • Beautiful place, big, has playgrounds, pinguins, greenhouse with butterflies, some animals and fish. Mini golf is closed during the weekdays
  • We spent a wonderful day here with friends. It has beautiful gardens a menagerie and a 50 minute automatic-boat ride along the lake. There is a restaurant. The entrance price is good value for money. Well worth a visit on a dry day.
  • Great park for young and old. Has plenty to see and do. You can stroll throughout the park with little effort involved or play a game of fútbol with the locals. It's your choice here. Plenty stands to grab a quick lunch or snack. Bring money as they don't take card.
