  • I watched a game in Mainz in March. Game day out the main entrance of the Mainz Central Station (exit No. 1 home side) and proceed to the right a little hill where the shuttle stopped. Start the game I had a bus if I went there about 2 hours ago. Bus are unloaded in front less than 1 km from the stadium. See the bus got off for the return is not clean and the Red stadium can be seen from where you get off. I was taken down in the 'C' is this in favor of buses, bus display [E] was. I was taken to take the 'C' bus ride on the way back, and the central train station, not far. Backpacks will be permitted at the entrance. I'd better put to compact valuables shall entrust to the left-luggage Office of admission 口waki, so. Also, you cannot buy food and drink in cash at the kiosks in the stadium. You must buy a prepaid card near the shop. Deposit of 10 euros +10 euros per charge becomes necessary. Location confirmed upon purchase, refunds cannot be in the Office, so it is better I think. It was very easy to see that this seat is purchased on their own seat. This is the stadium want to go again.

  • For the first time I travelled to a game of 05-er with public transport. Started in Neu-Isenburg, then continued by bus to Frankfurt airport, then train to Mainz central station and then the tram to the arena. It worked all fine and the RMV arrival and departure is included in the ticket price. The seats in the support area on the counter stands were good and priced at 20 euros also OK. However, these rates vary from opponent to opponent. VFB Stuttgart was an "cheaper" opponent. The atmosphere in the stadium was good and we (my son and I) will be back certainly likes. Also like to again with public transport. Hopefully next year again in the first! Football Bundesliga.

  • Based ourselves in Frankfurt and took the train to Mainz but now realise it would have been easier to stay in Mainz as the airport is on the main railway line between the two cities. Used a taxi to an...  more »
  • I like most the food stands. The Arena is a typically modern style stadium. It is far outside the city. Even though parking is limited. Public transportation is also improbable.
  • Such a great Stadium, what a fantastic atmosphere, top crowd, very easy to get to with Publix transport. Highly recommend as someone that visits many Bundesliga grounds.
  • The most fan UNfriendly stadium I have ever visited. The location and parking situation is a nightmare, the park and ride is a must, however it is also extremely poorly signposted! To buy anything in the stadium (i.e. a beer), you first need to purchase (pay a refundable deposit) a type of fan top up-card, which you then need to credit with cash, only notes no change allowed. This is bad enough, but there is no information telling you to buy this until you have queued up for 15 minutes only to be turned away by the cashier... This happened to many people, I was not the only one. Such a system is fine for season ticket holders and regular attendees, but an absolute joke for a one-off visitor to the stadium. On top of all, you must then queue up for about 20 minutes after the game to return the topup card and get your deposit back. An absolute joke and I will not be returning here
