  • This is what a church should look like. The statues and alter were magnificent. The side chapels were very interest with the information the individual chapels. This is a must see if you are in Mainz.
  • Must see in Mainz. So beautiful and unlike any cathedral I've ever seen. The square outside is adorable, as well.
  • We enjoyed a lively and enjoyable concert ! The church was dark but quiet. A lovely offering at the album.
  • Located near the historical center and pedestrianized market square of the city of Mainz, Germany, this 1000-year-old Roman Catholic cathedral is the site of the episcopal see of the Bishop of Mainz. A statue of Saint Boniface (Latin: Bonifatius) (c. 675? – 5 June 754 AD) is placed near the cathedral - he is the leading figure in the Anglo-Saxon mission to the Germanic parts of the Frankish Empire during the 8th century. He established the first organized Christianity in many parts of Germania. He is the patron saint of Germania, the first archbishop of Mainz and the "Apostle of the Germans".
  • The second highlight of Mainz, after the Gutenberg Museum. It has its own fair share of captivating history, however.
  • a must see in mainz. its huge and pretty, tho of coz not the best ones in europe
  • Yeah it's impressive. But more from the outside than form the interior. The surrounding makes it special. Inside the usual, expected view. Crowded with tourists.
  • Nice place to visit in Mainz. The Dom is not as impressive as in Cologne, but it is in a small town.
