  • First, we were warmly welcomed by the Museum supervisor and learned that we now get to know one of the most comprehensive puppet collections from all over the world and thousands of years. The collections are divided by continent. As a fan of Czech puppetry I rejoiced very to see Spejbl and Hurvínek there. As well as old friends from childhood, Nicole and Jim Knopf of the Augsburger Puppenkiste. The shadow play scenes from Asia and India, as well as the African wooden puppets with their bizarre heads were interesting. Who loves the puppet show is guaranteed here find it. I was expecting a bit more "scenic representations with the characters", sometimes only many figures on the piece will be presented side by side. Also the description texts are sometimes difficult to read, because the light is sometimes diffused. The exhibition extends over several smaller rooms can be reached via spiral stairs. The visit of the Museum only in connection with a puppet show I think is useful for smaller children. You can feel on every corner, with much love and enthusiasm the characters from all over the world have been compiled.

  • The Museum is located in a very old building and is full of dolls from many centuries. Just interesting and entertaining. I was there often, I can only say that it's always fun. The small cafe offers below, often homemade cake and tea.
