  • Who cares for sailing ships like the Gorch Fock and likes to stand on as a sailor, is right for the Passat. The ship is today one of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and is there as a museum ship. The deck and the cargo area also can be visited, exhibits from the active period are displayed like also movies, which were filmed at sea. The Passat was one of the flying P liners of the Laeisz shipping company and is one of the last surviving 4 ships. The only real sister is Beijing which comes in a few months from New York to Hamburg. Admission is €4, children aged 6 and over half. I can only say the visit is always nice.

  • The visit and above all the support of the monument is (financially) highly recommended. At blue skies always a photo value!

  • A must see when you are around. There are not that many ships preserved in Germany. This is one of those who still can be seen. There is some public parking spaces near by, but better seek early. The ...  more »

  • Neat ship! €4 entrance is worth it. If you have the (Kurkarte) it's cheaper. There is construction going on around it and the way to the ferry is long and just plain stupid!!! (June 2016)
  • Interesting old ship
  • Cool place
  • The "Passat" is lovingly rebuilt as a museum ship. The tour takes in all areas of the vessel, including the cargo hold with a reconstruction of actual loading. Based on diary entries of a then 15-year old from the year 1932 - 1935 is a piece of the "Passat" moving story which made alive. A worthwhile trip!

  • Who do not go there yourself is guilt. An experience that remains in the head. Kudos to the city of Lübeck and to all who have created here with hand.
