Folterkammer Linz am Rhein Reviews
Buy your cheap tickets at the glass shop and then descend into the historic torture chambers. The gruesome history of tormenting thieves and gossiping wives, is fascinating. more »
Erstaunlich, was für perverse Gerätschaften in der Vergangenheit von Menschen erfunden wurden, um andere Menschen im Namen Gottes zu quälen. more »Amazingly, what were invented for perverse equipment in the past by people, to torture other people in the name of God.
Wir wollten uns den Folterkeller gerne ansehen, und für den Preis ist es auch okay. Ein ernstes Thema wie Folter sollte man aber nicht wie eine Kirmes-Attraktion präsentieren, sondern mit mehr Ernstha... more »We wanted to like to look at the torture chamber, and for the price, it's also okay. A serious topic like torture you should but not like a cherry blossom present, but with more seriousness. Since torture unfortunately not with the middle ages ended was also today still exists.
It is in under ten minutes through the exhibition. It was okay for €2. If you anyway in the city is certainly quite nice.
Imitation of a torture chamber in parts of the basement Vault under the Castle. The exhibited equipment and the basement trying to create an authentic impression, but practically complete reconstructions or fundamental adjustments, trying to teach visitors the creeps. The vault is simply nonentity renovated. Historical contexts, proper explanations and classifications about the devices and their use in the course of time are not to receive (even) during a guided tour. In this respect a quite modest attraction which is focused on entertainment. €2, admission is not the world. For a visit, 15-30 minutes are required. Because access stairs out of necessity not barrier-free.
The visit to the torture chamber was interesting. At that time applied equipment rather abscheulich...sieht man but once again how good it actually is! Gladly we would have booked a guided tour, for it was unfortunately too late. (approx. 2-3 weeks in advance) Explanations are available, but the lighting in the basement Vault is naturally diffuse. The horror effect is reinforced by the recorded noise (probably hangover) (not quite).
I find that it was not for me and the children ;-(gruselig👎auch 😢 if it was only very short
Eerie exhibition. It's funny but certainly not for everyone.
