  • On the edge of the campus, a railway was created in recent years. This field railways carried the stones used in the quarries of the region. The old engine shed of corrugated metal is very nice. A further locomotive shed was built with wood from the Museum.

  • Who wants to learn the Bergisches Land from his history here, not passes the Bergischen open-air Museum of Lindlar. Here Bergischer history comes alive, forging, weaving, restaurants, farms, mountain gardens, bread from the Backes and much more show in the Bergischen country at its beautiful historically barren life. Unconditional recommendation grade for families, but indeed for all ages, because for people who are serious hurt with the mountainous landscape, scooters are available!

  • We were with two young children here today. All ways are just fine to drive on with the stroller. There are building from various fields. Houses, farms, barns and various small-scale buildings. All the buildings are accessible and their original time according to. Craft editable even at certain times. There are many animals and a lot of the information that are new and interesting even for people who grew up in the Bergischen. All employees who have met were very friendly and kind to us as well as to the children.

  • Here one learns something about the past and rural life in the upper mountain without which it will be boring. A museum to the join and feel. And for adults and children.

  • Today on the 27.08.16 we visited the farmers market at the open air museum. Great! Many stalls with various, mostly small-scale, craft articles. It was nice that there no cheap junk levels were found. Everything suitable to the given part of a Freilichmuseums.
