  • The mother Tower in Landsberg is a beautiful medieval building, that impressed not only from the outside. He stands in the Hubert von Herkomer Park right on the river Lech. A visit of Hubert von Herkomer Museum and the newly opened cafes, located directly at the mother Tower is worthwhile. Not quite 5 minutes here coming from the old city over the Lech River - this is a rewarding walk, especially since you have also the Lechwehr directly in the views.

  • This building is dated to 1844. Built by Hubert von Herkomer, it was built as an atelier. The tuff brick structure is nice to see.
  • This tower seems to sprout from a storybook. Not big but very characteristic and interesting architecture.

  • Good for sightseeing
  • The #Museum is located in the #Mutterturm, once built by Mr #Herkomer for his mother. Located next to the romantic tower, which is situated on the river Lech, a beautifully landscaped park with a small pond and small waterfalls and bridges just a restaurant and Café, around, a charming place. Parking is located nearby, also the District Administration Office in the town of Landsberg am Lech. For more information see https://www.byseum.de
